Heading to Fraser soon and staying at Kingfisher Bay resort, was thinking of taking the boat 4.4M alloy to add a bit of variety into the fishing. Does any one know if there is ramp nearby or reasonable beach lauching. Not sure of there is something where the barge comes in
Cheers

Hey Craigo, there is a ramp 2/3rds of the way along the jetty - it is where the barge lands.

I usually back the trailer slowly along the jetty from the jetty hut, as I struggle to do a u-turn at the end. It's good training in backing in a straight line, as the incentive to not stuff up is high. There's actually plenty of room, so take it easy and you wont have a problem.

cheers.

Craigo, barge trip is expensive with boat tagging along, just a heads up.

I worked at the resort for a while and played around the Sandy Straits.

get a good chart / map and lots of good stuff close by and down south like Ungowa etc........

cheers Phill
