i just thought i would update now that i have a boat i should of had in the first place.
once again i had to return the boat to to bribie to get the trailer re adjusted and also put the correct width wobble rollers on and also the scratches on my front keel fixed that the trailer was making every time i would retreive boat. after a week boat was returned. all good now. me and mate re fit the battery boxes where i asked them to be put in the first place and also untangled and tidied up all the wiring that looked like it had been scrunched up in a ball and kicked behind battery.all good now.had first service done with boys from seaquest at clontarf and now am very happy with boat both appearance and performance.
extra things they fixed for me were recalibrating the smart craft guages correctly, tighten up the loose motor and steering ram and throttle, got the speedo working properly, shorten the rig tube that i asked bribie to do numerous times when i had to return it to them so it doesnt fall off the motor every time you lift motor to travel plus few other things i cant remember now.all good now well done seaquest.rang bribie boats to see what they would say and they were too busy they would ring back soon.that was nearly 2 weeks ago. great customer service hey. here is just a couple of photos

I am still waiting on a response about a boat I was interested in from 3 weeks ago. I am buying from the competition.

Can't say I have ever had what I would call a great boat buying experience from any Dealer, but some have been Ok. Questionable quality staff and I guess that they probably don't pay much so you get what you get. I have resolved to myself that I will buy a boat in a fairly basic form and fit the important stuff up myself or get a specialist and reputable marine professional to do the job. It would be fair to say I have had to go right through and refit the boat in all cases I can remember except a Lindsay Fry Seafarer Victory totally fitted in their factory was very good.

Disgraceful. They rang me just after I put my boat on boat sales trying to get me to put it in their yard on consignment. Glad I didn't now.
That type of service is second class.

Gee! That wiring is a disgrace? Looks like spaghetti wiring I saw when I was holidaying in Brazil some years ago? And the minor nicks & scratches is just poor workmanship, should be ashamed of themselves releasing a sale in that condition. Glad you took the initiative and saw the boys at SeaQuest? Great bunch of blokes and excellant service to boot.

Shame about the fitout mate. As others have said when you pay peanuts.......

Thankfully the glass repairs are easy to do and should come up a treat if done correctly. Beats me why they don't spend more time on fitout at this terrible time in the industry. These guys doing the job are probably paid full time and I cannot believe they are flatout. I know if it were me i'd rather be spending more time and doing a quality job (even using the same hardware thats been used) than twiddling my thumbs in the lunchroom. With just a little bit of expertise and forthought there is very little time between a good robust job and your bowl of spaghetti. That rod holder fitout is not good either.

As said its all fixable even though you paid good money in the first place.

Good luck with it. Don't let it spoil what should be a rig you're proud of.

Good on ya mate did a lot of research on yaltas and that is what i wanted just thought it was easier to buy from bribie instead of gold coast. Im from redcliffe. I am very happy with boat now that me and mate tidied it up just a shame so called proffesionals couldnt do their job. The worst thing was the owner did not give a rats a!?e.

Hmmm, this isn't good to hear!
I very much like the look and price of their Stessco 430, but this thread isn't filling me with confidence.
I've sent an email enquiry to this dealer this morning, with a simple question about HP upgrade pricing & still haven't had a reply.
If I treated my own customer enquiries like that, they'd simply find another company and I lose the work.
Surely this dealer can't be too busy to potentially sell a boat!

Apparently they are i had the same thing i was up front with them i was looking for the best price on a boat. 3 dealers to quote one chance would not play dealers off .best price got the deal. They rang back once and told me get the best price and call them and a follow up email asking a few questions. I told the three dealers would not play them off and wouldnt. Never heard back so bought a seajay off Bundaberg Marine Land. Excellent service no issues nothing a problem.
