I have a Sealink 19TMD trailer with mechanical calipers that needs replacement of springs. Have done the ring around and it seems these Chinese import trailers dont run any common available spring sizes. The are a 45mm Rocker Roller set up (eye/C-hook) and no-one seems to manufacture that size with the centres @ 610mm.

Has anyone with these POS trailers upgraded the axle/springs with local stuff. I dont want to replace them with the sea link crap because they are as noisy as hell and if I am spending $500 I want something a little better quality than original.

610 is not a common size, (720 is) however a proper spring works will either have them , or make them for you, and be 1,000 times better than the Chinese sh!t that gets passed off as "springs"

If you do decide to get springs made locally and keep the rest of the setup the same, I have had very good and cost effective service from Mayne Sprinworks at Bowen Hills.

Website here: http://www.cylex.com.au/company/mayne-spring-works-15107635.html

Suggest you give them a call and get an idea on cost.
