I have assumed these are the ones you are talking about. I think CAMEC was a distributer as well as most catalogues
EDIT - That part number looks like a rwb marine.

Ask if they can get seals

There are cheapo copies so if also getting springs check they will fit. The originals were not cheap . Have seen cheapos with closed cell foam strip .

Do a search of aluminium, alloy, scupper , vent , seal

EDIT

RWB marine catalog- scupper ---

page 59
vent service kit spring and seal part sp330 and 331 small large

I'd grab a couple as they don't like fuel and you never know when a item goes off list.

PS these are no a watertight scupper and were never designed to be used under the waterline as I see em used on lots of small plate boats that are trailered but I have seen boats moored overnight flood the decks because of them and most decks aren't really fully sealed no matter what the manufacturer tell ya> .

I got sick of having wet feet from water leaking in through the scuppers. I had a repair done by Dave McKenzie (?) on the hull and had him weld up the holes and fit some large ally bungs at the same time. No more wet feet and no more wondering if the scuppers might let go altogether and sink me at night. Best thing I have done to my old Sportfish. Water around your feet in winter sucks! Whittworths sell the Ron Grant scuppers but I would seriously consider getting rid of them.

I was trying to be subtle but agree with therapy unless your scuppers are high above the waterline but that takes a pretty big boat

Don't know why they are referred to as a burst scupper as they wouldn't burst open unless ther was a head of 20 foot od water in my experience so if I was doing bars I would have em open if the boat had enough buoyancy and freeboard.

all good ,just realised my live tank is splashing up and dripping/blowing onto the floor when on the plane , so the scuppers work fine , a bit of silicone in the right place and no more wet feet. thanks for the help and comments.

I also have been looking to put a floor of some description on my checkerplate floor to get a bit more cushioning and if the floor does become wet your shoes are above the water, was thinking rubber matts cut to size then came across this stuff....

only thing is they don`t ship from the states so you have to sort out your own shipping.

is it the same stuff that a company in South Australia sells? Give em a call for a price.

Shipping boxes from USA is easy , rolls of stuff is more painful.

Hi Fishguts

I have simply put some of those foam camping squares on the chequer plate floor on my Surtees. Works fine, and cheap as chips.

http://www.clarkrubber.com.au/eva-flooring-mat-with-holes.html

So far I've only put it on the floor where the driver and passenger stand at the helm and up between the bunks.

Haven't worried about the cockpit floor as such, been thinking about it, though.

I find wearing a pair of Shimano Evair sandals makes things a bit easier on the feet. Being waterproof doesn't matter if they get splashed.

Cheers

Just for info sake for all you fellas that have the popular RGD scuppers, Towner Raindrop in Brissy are qld agents and normally have springs, seals, whole assemblies on the shelf.

thanks cormorant , but I can get it shipped back but double handling cost`s ! I`ll check that lot out and see what gives.

Moonlighter , I know the ones your talking about but if I was to do my whole floor there is no escape for the water as the bottom sits flush. Then again I suppose the checker plate will sort that out !

thanks Outstation. hows the riptide going ?
