Built in Cairns?

By the time you add a trailer and motor, it's not cheap anymore....

Shy guys, is that an Ocean Cylinder on your avatar pic? Don't think the advertised boat you put up would be in quite the same league...wondering whether it is the OC I saw for sale 2-3 years ago up Goldie/Brissie way, drooled over it I must say....

Seems to be well priced just the same for the size and inclusions. Welding looks decent from what I can see.

7m is $52K drive away with a 150hp four stroke, lot of boat for the money imho, especially for Aussie made and for work around reefs. have heard their finish is top notch, will go down for a look this week, possibly a better option for up here than glass as i launch in a pretty shallow river (Daintree) and occasionally find a sandbank, would feel more comfortable finding one in a plate boat albeit at low speeds when I do find one lol.

Unless its a very, very shallow V hull, a 7m boat with only a 150hp engine will be hopeless.

You would not want anything less than 250hp on a proper 7m offshore boat. That will bump the price up considerably.

Either that, or the way they measure the boat means it is not really a 7m boat, but even then, it would need to be close to 6m before a 150 would be suitable.

personally dont like the design but thats my opinion dislike how narrow they are up the front. Ive been looking a numerous plate boats and they probably are ok for the money i mean they offer a 10year hull warranty. would be good for a intended use. but not my cup of tea

Hmm, I would beg to differ on this point. Sure, we all love to have a ton of grunt under the right hand, but with a smart prop choice, minimal power can do the job nicely. As a couple of examples. Last week I fished in NZ on an 8m Stabi with 5 pob and a full cabin. It was powered by a 225 yammy four stroke with 5 thousand hours. The thing hummed along beautifully. 4000 rpm was 20kts cruise. Very sweet match. My 6.2m Seafarer used to scoot along quite well on a single 115 2 stroke once it struggled up onto the plane (it had twins so was not propped to get up alone)
Just my opinion, and I realise every loads their boat to differing degrees and has individual requirements for "grunt"
