Hi Guys,

I'm picking up my imported Seaswirl tomorrow and am just organising all the paperwork, mods, plates etc.

One thing I came accross was the ABP requirement

Is an overseas imported second hand boat still classed as secondhand or do I need a ABP as it it new to Australia?

Reading http://www.msq.qld.gov.au/~/media/98825b51-9b6c-47ee-a435-bcfcebfc8129/pdf_faqs_dealers.pdf

it doesn't mention importing second hand boats only second hand boats are not required to have one

Cheers
Ben

Mate, I build boats over seas and have brought a few in, I normally use the NMSC site www.nmsc.gov.au/recreational_boating/index.php?MID=24&CID=24#FAQs (http://www.nmsc.gov.au/recreational_boating/index.php?MID=24&CID=24#FAQs)

I apply an ABP each time i bring a boat in, when I asked the question at Q Transport, they stated wether it is new or second hand you must have an ABP. If you are having probs just PM me and i will see what i can do
