Just wondering if anyone has used trag jew in a raw fish dish I know trevally and snapper would be better but I have some large fillets of trag and am curious if anyone has made this dish :P cheers Kiwifisho

Should be no worries mate, nice white flesh that would firm up with the lemon juice.

I guess by "Trag Jew" you mean a Teraglin? if so, they are good eating, and I would think it would be fine done as you describe.

I'd probably avoid it trag are renowned for having worm through the flesh i'd be picking another sushimi option which there are many if I was eating raw products.

Agree with samson. That is also the reason why they can smell a bit when filleting. Certainly tasty when cooked though.
