As the title suggests I am after any info on these motor's. Has anyone had any dealing's with one?
Looking at a boat with this motor on it and need some info to help make a decision. I would assume that I may need to buy a new motor but if the current motor is known as a reliable one I don't have to rush a decision.

Good strong engine, have been known to last longer than most other 2 strokes. Do like a drink tho

I went out on a Mustang 2000 Bluewater with one of the boys from Nosrthside Marine as it was a stock boat of theirs running this same engine. We did a full day's fishing going from the southern bay to the northern bay and halfway around the cape the whole day cost us about $112.00 in fuel. As long as it has been well serviced you should not have a problem but it will chew the juice. Some are a bit smokey aswell from what I have seen boats Leaving Scarbrough Marina with this engine on the back. Like anything be good to it and it will be good to you.:)

My mechanic says smoke is good! It wont wear out if it blows some smoke when you start em. Over 500hrs on mine so far and they don't mind old fuel either cf to the new ones with their high tech gismos.

Cheers
