Pod removal

Can anyone give me advise on removing a pod & fitting the outboard on the transom? The motor sits back to far & weighs the stern down to much.
Ideas please.

Is the motor to big then? Does the pod need to be redesigned?

I don't think its to big, 135 optimax on an 18ft boat, maybe it's how there supposed to be? but it does seem to sit to deep & the weight is a long way back on the trailer.
