Looking for tubular Stainless steel 316 offcuts?? Northside of Brissy??

Hi all,

I just bought a stainless steel bait board and now I need to get it fitted to my Cruise Craft transom. So what I'm after is 2 sections of tubular stainless steel in 316 grade about 600mm long and 30-40mm diameter as the main stays/uprights and I'm looking for them to fit directly into a male fitting which is just wide enough for them to slip into tightly and these 2 sections only need to be about 200mm long and could even be aluminium. I'm also looking for some flat sections about 3mm thick by 500 by 400 to make the mounting plate and this can also be alloy. I am also open to suggestions about the best and easiest way to go about doing this mounting board. I had actually thought of just using some rod holders for these stays to go into so if I can find some stainless just right to slide into some stainless rod holders that would be ideal.80497

Bit of a long shot there Malby but with a few car useing stainless steel exhausts try a exaust shop they might have some cut offs.

ark marine at geebung will have the tube and spigots to fix to the gunwale as well.

Mal i work for a steel supplier in Brisbane, we deal with all the above and also a company called Australian Stainless Distributors at Virginia. I am pretty sure they supply to Alvey for their yabby pumps so they should have that sorta thing. Tell em Dean @ QSS sent ya

Depending on which model CC you have Greens Marine Stainless at Yatala may be able to send you up exactly what you need fabricated and all. I know it's southside but I found those guys to be very helpful and very reasonable with cost. They have made a lot of the CC SS work over the years.

Update: I called all of the above mentioned places and looks like Ark Marine are the ones that can make it happen for me. Thanks everyone for your input.;)
