Am wanting to head out tonight or in the early morning and am looking for a spot to throw the cast net for some livies. Normally throw around Tingalpa Creek but to do this have to keep the livies alive until I go fishing as I don't launch there. I'm wanting to launch at the VMR Cleveland, anyone throw around there with any success? Am mainly wanting pike, poddies and the odd prawn, any suggestions on other spots around there???

Wello point and Victoria point Jettys have some nice size Herring at the moment, few pike, the odd squid...
Lot of Hardy heads at Wello point jetty around low tide too.

Maybe just grab a bucket and aerator and do a short trip to wello..

I seen a lot the other night around low out the end, though they seem to be there in moderate numbers at all times. They come and go so you keep an eye out for em and when you see a few there is a school underneath.

Unless you just motor over that way early and try the vicinity.

For Pike use a small jig head with a small hook and flick a small minow or grub around.
