Hey guys,
I am looking for some new reels to use on the boat as when i go fishing some of my mates use my rods and reels as they don't have their own.
Those reels are getting on (about 7-8 years old) so i want some that i can throw around the boat and not worry too much about them getting knocked about unlike my Stella which i treat like one of my kids...

I have one of the older Silstar reels (about 5 years old) which is still working beautifully and is actually nice to use so i was wondering if their new reels were any good, they are reasonably priced at only $60 each and seem pretty well made.
The other options would be the Daiwa crest or Libertyotherwise the Shimano Sahara bit more pricey but they seem nice.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers

For a knock about reel that you throw around the boat etc you cannot go past the Penn Slammer. For 100 bucks these days they are brilliant value and built like a tank.
