Windy sat paddle

Yes, here it is, yet another palmy report. The wind was up, but the swell was down. Paddled out wide and hooked up to a 2m hammerhead. After some serious grunting and groaning on the 65lb braid i was able to snip him off near the hook. Then paddled around out wide for you guessed it another hammerhead around 1.5m. Needless to say my reel is now creaking and may need some attention. Decided to head back in and swap one of the livies for a pillie on the way. Sure enough it paid off and a spotty and a doggy later, plus a couple more lost, it was def time to paddle in against the howling wind.

If i hooked a hammerhead on a kayak there would be a big mess in the seat to clean up afterwards!
