does a 85 model markham whaler have a timber transam or timber floor ? looking at buying one for crabing and river work

Hi,

I would think that it would be a yes to the transom, but I am not so sure about the floor as they have a fully mulded inner liner for the "self draining" deck, so it may be solid glass. I think that you would be hard pressed to find a better boat for what you want, they are just so versatile. My grandfather used to own one and we would use it in the rivers and lakes rather than using the big boat, we even took it outside on the really good days, and were never worried, they are such a stable platform, and foam filled as a bonus.
