Crocs seem to in a lot of places these days in QLD. >:( I thought it would be helpful if we could inform one another of where to be on the lookout. No generalizations, becuse we know they are everywhere.
Actual sightings AND KNOWN RESIDENTS.:o:o

To start with I know there are at least 3 residents in the Mobray River between Cairns and Port Douglas, and one is a big beast. Also there are at least 2 in the Bluewater Marina and creek at Trinity Park in the Northern Beaches of Cairns. One of them is about 3 metres as well.

Do you report the ones that may be of concern?

http://www.derm.qld.gov.au/wildlife-ecosystems/wildlife/living_with_wildlife/crocodiles/crocwatch/index.html

That site also has a list of current and previous locations of crocodiles of "concern".

Here.

scary bit if you spend any time up this way (Wenlock River) is seeing that one of the big ones was tracked right in the middle of Stone's Crossing........

Another one was tracked about 20m from the collapsed bridge over the creek on the way into Stone's which i drove through knee deep on the quad last time I was up that way.............

There are quite a few that I have seen regularly in the Bohle River, Townsville, in the last twelve months or so. The biggest was around three metres. There is still plenty of people knee deep throwing cast nets though.
