Thommo and I went down to Port Alma to score a barra and some crabs then after we dropped the crabpots we poked out of the river for a look at some rocks at the top end of Curtis never did get to throw a lure for barras and only one decent crab but we came home with a few trout, nannies and a feed of mackerel,
couldn't get a touch on big baits, lures or livies so the old floated pillies came out and did the trick

The one on the left touched 40kg on old scales (not sure how accurate) and the fish on the right went 37kg
we dropped several as they would not take steel trace and I only had 150lb mono which cost us some top fish
