Front to centre into bowstop or at the transom , which would work better

Why not all off them
No real need to Jabba.....they tend to flog out a little faster than a standard one aswell due to there shape..........I have one at the rear of my trailer and so far has done the job perfectly.....(drive on)

A Concave roller will do the same thing and gravity will take care of the rest.

my self centring roller is back 1 from the transom. used to have trouble launching and an ally roller at the back fixed that good. couldn't get a self centring one the right size in ally so moved the rubber one back one spot. works a treat tho i have skids also which help guide the bow to the self centring roller.
I think they're pretty much a gimmick cehart, sounds to me like you've got something else going wrong there.

My last alloy boat was a bit bit of a pain in the arse to load onto the trailer.. I found that the self centreing roller helped heaps.. I just put it as the one at the very back and it helped line it all up at the very start.. I have heard stories of how when unloading the boat the roller has worked the other way and basically rolled the keel sideways... never had an issue myself though.
