I am in search of these ideas and need your assistance.

I have read that Sea Jay have an engineering a concept often seen in American flat boats, whereby the seat's 'back' is in two separated sections that fold down either independently or together to become the stern casting deck.

When 'up', it becomes comfortable seating for three. Because it's in two pieces, the section comprising the helm seat can be left up to drive the boat, which leaves the rest of the casting space usable.

Anyone who has done similar to above, please contribute.

I will be taking hold of the 4.1m SC polycraft soon and I need more ideas. Yes, I have looked through Polyboatowners.com forum.

Thanks

Interested but don't have any ideas, sorry. I'm looking at putting a couple of comfy seats into my tinny and just waiting to find the best way to do it. (basic tinny with bench seats)

Cheers Richo

What I have seen in a tinnie is this .... The seat base in the tinnie was padded and the seat back was hinged and folded down on top. The seat back was then the casting platform.

So in other words the seat base cousion and the seat back cousion come together when folded.
