does anyone know for sure if ya need a epirb around the moreton bay like mud island ect. i heard u do and heard u dont???

EPIRBs (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons)
All ships operating beyond smooth and partially smooth waters must carry a 406 MHz digital EPIRB if more than two nautical miles from land.
Moreton Bay is smooth and partially smooth waters

yeah got that got everything exept epirb but its only a 12 foot tinnie
