Suzuki Parts From US?

I am just wondering if anyone has managed to order recently from Browns Point Marine for Suzuki parts and used the US postal option instead of the way more expensive UPS option that comes up as a sole option when you place the order? My recent parts order for $450 had the cheapest shipping quote as $490+ If some one has found a reliable plan C then I would be very interested.
