Hi all went for a run the other day up the Rous Channel haven't been up there for a while.
Rounded the reds and headed for the last 3 or 4 green buoys when ...... it appeared to me and my GPS that i should be on the wrong side of the buoys to stay in deep water, meaning instead of having the greens on my left i needed to have them on my right (heading towards the bar) have the banks shifted or was i just having a bad day i mean a very bad day.
I know many of you on here travel this course regularly can you set me straight on this.
By the way beacon to beacon indicates greens on my left but the deeper water appeared to be on the other side of the beacon.

Thanks Mark.

Always follow the bouys as cobiaman has already said they are usually on the edge of the banks .They do build with sand from time to time and the 2nd of the last green bouys heading out to the bar needs to be moved out more as its on the bank only in about 1.5m had to edit my route yesterday when i was out there. Set up a route if you havent got one all ready and edit as the bouys change

If I read the above two posts correctly then you have a misunderstanding happening.

The bouy wasn't aligned on the wrong side. It was just not over far enough. That would not mean using the wrong side of it.

Or did I miss the point?

The greens were moved a while ago. Your GPS isnt up to date. And if I remember correctly, the last 4 greens on the eastern end are now 3 greens, one was removed?
