Awesome motor Marcus, I have the 2011 on my 6200 Goldstar and getting great fuel economy and super quiet. You would not be dissappointed but in saying that make sure you get it tested prior to purchase.

19inch mate, at WOT am getting 6100rpm with 20+hrs on the motor and using 0.9L/klm and getting approx 65klm/hr at that and cruising at 4400-4500rpm am getting 0.5L/klm.

hi marcus what are you putting it on the back of?

i put a df140 on the back of my haines 550 to replace a blown-up 2 stroke and am stoked with the fuel use (or lack of it;D) and low noise levels. no more smokey starts i just back in the water turn the key and off i go!!!

mine is a fantastic motor but i did have probs getting the propping to suit me and my rig which weighs in at 1150kgs (before i get on anyway lol).;)

i tried the 14x19 alloy suzi prop but could spin that out to the rev limiter, and when i tried the 21p alloy the holeshot was pathetic. solas recommended the 21p four blade but it was woeful as well. im told the 14x20p suzi stainless is great for most but ive ended up with a merc trophy plus 4 blade 20p and it returns slightly better fuel economy and with good holeshot. wot at 6200 tops out at 70kmh one up on glass but best cruise is about 4500rpm at 50kmh around 0.4-0.5 ks per litre.

i find the motor not extremely punchy down low but very smooth and strong across the whole rev range with most strength in the 3500 to 5000k range.

40hrs up now and luving it.

cheers ryan:)
