View Full Version : Yamaha 60 + tiller handle

Bit of a out there question but i thought sum one may no or be able to help. Looking at a second hand low hours 60 yammy 4 stroke engine and converting it to tiller. I can get hold of a near brand new 50 yamaha 4 stroke tiller handle, do you think they will be a match ???

I reckon the tillers for the 50 and 60 would be the same as long as the years are similar. Over the years the tillers have changed a bit in design and they moved the trim tilt switch. Probably best to call Yamaha and check the part numbers for the 50 and 60 are the same.

Can you get the steering friction device with the second hand 50 tiller as well? Comes in really handy on long runs, when trolling or trailering.

I've got a 2006 Yammy 60 with tiller if you need any photos.

I had the 50 (2010 model) and upgraded to the 2011 F70 and the tillers are identical.

Not sure about the earlier ones though sorry but would expect them to be similar as the 50 and 60 are for all intents and purposes the same donk with a different tune, providfed of course they are the same series.
