Just a really quick one before I finish for the day and head up the passage (oo-eer).
Are the spark plug leads on my 2 stroke merc, the same as off a car? or are marine ones different? The leads on it are so old and covered in so much silicone/sikaflex/sealant of some sort, I cant read a thing. The spark plug end will come of fine, but I thnk I'm going to have too cut away about 3 kilos of sealant to get the other end off.
Just want to know if it's something I can just grab from a shop (or have them cut to length) or if there is more to it.

Cheers

Tony

There is heaps of different types, some cannot be removed from the coils, some are easy, the genuine ones will cost the earth, but if the coil ends are removable, just get a couple made up.

Thanks..... now I'm not sure whether they are fixed permanently to the coils... there is so much sealer around them LOL.... will have to consult the manual next time.

Good news is they seem to just screw in and are about US$22 for each kit
