I went there today with my little girl just to play in sand, plenty of people swimming, water murky and plenty of stones on the bottom........
No signs .......
Talking to a lady with two kids swimming, I said this the spot where the stonefish did a sting, she said it was 100 ft down, I said they didn't catch the fish and he is still cruising around, or just sitting on the bottom................
They have been pumping the sand out there from the dredge , maybe he came up in the spout or maybe he was feeding on stuff from the dredge.....
Anyway HE'S STILL THERE........................

Just wear gumboots when swimming......

seriously though, hes unlucky to get stung well down the beach with no rocks around. i mean no-one wears shoes on a nice sandy beach do they.
