Hi all, well after all the crap weather around xmas I finally got out twice on 5th and 7th Jan before I had to go back to work on the 9th. went out with a mate on the 5th left moolooaba at 3am went to my usual spot at Murphy's and deployed plenty of burley for the morning bite but nothing happened so 5am headed out a few mile to spot x for crack. I was using bait Dominic using plastics first two drops 2 pearlies to bait then Dom got a pearly on 7inch white gulp. so as I was rigging myself a plastic, my rod bends over and 10min later my Pb snapper at 90cm and 8kg goes in the esky, as I was doing my Happy Dance Domnic hooks up to good fish on 20pd braid and 5 to 8kg rod white gulp and 20 min later he has his PB snapper at 80cm 7kg. we hooked up to a few more but didn't land them 1 bite off and 2 pulled hooks:(. then grassy parrot and squire to bait there was plenty more under size squire so headed home very happy around 9am.
Trip 2 on sat headed out at 2.30am with good mate Pete to see if we could find some more snaps but they didn't want to play ended up with two nice cod 1-12kg and 1-5kg, 4 squire and 1 parrot all before sunrise after sunrise it was just small squire and big grinners so headed home with a good feed at 9am.;D
