tweed 9 MILE ....YFT....2/1/2012

Just a quick report had to get out there before works starts again tomorrow. Trolled the 9 mile this morning in search of any Hoo or mackerel. Turned some reels on 5 Yellowfin tuna and a bonito biggest YFT went 9kg . Was a good sound to hear a screaming reel again. Cheers mick

9kg YFT is a nice one. Hopefully the Macks and Hoo turn up soon.

thats a good yellowfin, I could only hook up on 2-3kg ones, I did get a hoo last tuesday about 9kg though, so they are around.

I've heard of good catches of spanish off Kingscliff on slow trolled big dead slimies and tailor.

7522475223The 9kg was a good YFT for the 9 mile the biggest from that area for me for a few years.Hit hard and was hooping a Hoo it had the halco down to the bib in it's mouth. The Hoo and Macks carn't be to far away good to hear you got one (Brad 85).The others were around the 2-4kg and Kept a few for crab bait got the 9kg last and was badly bleeding so took him too.

cheers dicko56.....did think it may of been skipjack /stripey but run with the common old bonito .... now i know ........there all snapper bait to me...lol
