Old mate at DI buried a 5/0 in his hand a few years ago on a variable wind day. Drove to Rainbow to get it removed by a medico and lost the day fishing - that one seems easier, I'll keep it in mind.

Still those two are sick puppies.

Far out it looks good in theory but do you think you'd be game to let your mate give it a crack? Could be bloody painful if it doesn't work!

Usually best way I have found to do it is to use a pair of pliers. You hit the end of teh loop with the pliers as hard and as fast as you can while you hold your finger on the eye of the hook to stop the hook curling in further. You can generally hit the loop harder and faster with the pliers than you would pull it.

OOooooh that was one toe curling vid! I tried this technique and diddn't hold the eye of the hook down hard enough, just buried it in further right around the bend of the hook. Went back to the pliers technique. Ben

Classic! That dude is hardcore nuts, there is no way I'd let anyone shove a hook in my arm. Used that technique to pull a treble out of my hand a few months ago and it worked well. My wife took great pleasure in being the one to pull it out.

i did not watch the video..but..just cut the hook and push the bit through the skin and out the other side..it is just a piece of metal and lately every bloody bit of metal I am near seems to want to cut me.
