I seen an advert for one not long ago, and could not find it again. Just stumbled across it searching google. Pretty expensive, the top end model with 6 months of consumables is just a shy of $1000. Runs on 12V. I am almost tempted to buy one, but not sure if its worth the coin. Be great for camping and the back yard if it actually does work.

They do help. Nothing is perfect.

Some of the 'eco' resorts in midge and mosquito country have been using them for years. They also attract biting midge. They use CO2 which attacts the insects. Some machines also use Octenol and other things as an attractant.

Plenty of different machines out there based on the same principles. Not sure that your price is a good price... :-/

And the ongoing CO2 costs keep adding up.

and use LP's secret rub on recipe passed down through the generations

I knew someone who used to sell the commercial versions 10 years ago, expensive but they do break the cycle. this is the first I have heard of them since then
