A very good all rounder from a very reputable company with probably the most boat building experience in Australia.

Absolutely buy with confidence. One of the most trusted names in boating with a fine history.

Sounds very cheap by the way. As long as it checks out ok then that would be a bargain in my book. Got to pull $19,9990 in a yard.

Cheers

Thanks mate, I have seen this boat in this guys yard under tarp for a while, he uses it occasionally at best. I just asked if he wanted to sell and offered $15000 he has got it advertised elswere, he said he would think about it ,he just rang me back and said ok. motor looks low hrs boat looks good except for canopy. I will get an inspection, anyone know someone in south Brisbane area.

BM - it would be a very fine example indeed at $199990, but there is one born every day so you might get a buyer... :)

Jeff Websters Second Hand Boat Secrets "Collectors Edition" put them in the Top Rigs category - noted to be made from the mid 80's with a substantially different model launched in 1996 - higher cabin etc and transom for extra long shaft motors - plus moulded stern seats dropped for lift out. 19 degree deep v and very fine entry. Max 140 or perhaps 150 for newer model. Performs well apparently in the 115-125 range and with earlier models, could easily get away with a 90. Prices start at $19,000 and brand new ones $47,000 (but that mag is a few years old now 2009).

Thanks to Jeff for another great Magazine.

As BM said its a bargain at that price. Go to boatpoint and see what they are asking for them. You may be able to get Grand Marlin to look at the boat for you, worth a pm. Spaniard King is the motor man.

I own a 1996 Carribean Cobra R/bout 4.88m i love it, good deep boat great offshore and safe with the kids, full walk thru bow to anchor, big cruiser style bowsprit, got an 03 Mercury 90hp does 40mph, they have been building boats for donkeys so worth a look at that price, i see they are over 47k new these days so do the math 15 is not too bad buying at all,

Hahaha!! Didn't realize the huge price I had inadvertently written. Bloody iPhones with a mind of their own.

I meant $19,990 although the more I think about it, up to mid 20's isn't out of the question.

Boats are cheaper in Qld than here in Melb but at 15K I think you need to act swiftly!
