Hello

I have a new hydrive hydraulic steering set up in my boat and it leaks oil out the breather. I was told that there may be air locks or it may be over filled. I have replaced the oil, bled it correctly, the level is correct, I have even replaced the breather cap but it still weeps oil after about 20 mins out on the water.

Has anyone had this problem before? Or have I just got a dud that needs replacing?

Would appreciate any feedback.

Cheers

Give Hydrive a bell,

Sounds like overfill.

...I was told that there may be air locks or it may be over filled.... Or maybe both!

Jim (Captain Rednut on Ausfish) will sort your problem out. Send him a PM.
cheers

Thanks Albey, already in contact with hydive and not liking what they are suggesting. They recommend blanking the existing breather and fitting another behind the dash. Sounds a bit sus to me but i dont know much about them.

Thanks Brendon will do.
