Townsville ramp query

Hi there,
can any one tell me roughly how much tide you need at the Barnacle St ramp in South Townsville to get out with a 6m trailer boat & outboard? The Coastguard ramp is great but when there is no wind...as we all know it is chaos..I cant expect to take my kids down at 4am to get a park...thats where Barnacle St is so easy.

Hi Mike,

I have only used it with my tinnie, but know what you mean about the CG ramp for the big boat. Unfortunately I can't answer your question, but I would suggest posting it on the Fishing Townsville forum. I'm sure one of the guys there would know.

The new ramp is great. I reckon 0.8m you'd be right. Problem is down stream, that sandbar near the army boats.
