Just on the way into work this morning listening to radio National and there was an amazing story that Im surprised hasnt been mentioned yet.
An 85 year old lady who has fished all her life was out on a charter from Cooktown over the weekend when she hooked and landed an est. 385kg (850lb) Black Marlin.
Im in my 30s and pretty ft but I have my doubts as to whether I could manage a fish that big- even with good driving. Pretty incredible stuff.
I didnt get any further info but Im sure it will come to light in the next few days.
