Hi all,

Had a great trip on the weekend and after a lot of looking around and searching off Di and fraser we found some qaulity fish including good reds over 10kg with the biggest two weighing 14.2kg and 15.1kg. We pulled reds from 4 different spots and found some great looking new ground. One spot had loads of bait and big pedatory fish surrounding it. This produced many many bust off's and some nice samson and Amberjack. Current was roaring which made fishing difficult but we were still happy with our results and even happier to have captured all the action on camera for my wickedfishing DVD's.

A detailed report and all the pics can be found on my wickedfishing website.

Hi JT I'm loving the Venom rod mate. Gee you can load it up and put some power through it. I wouldnt mind taking a little length off the butt for bottom fishing but it's such a versatile rod and I haven't picked up another rod since I started using it.

hmm not really...you have those trips that are really slow but just means I need to put extra effort in to get the results. Patience, persistence and thinking outside the square is the key.

Greg

Greg which venom are you using the 250g or 350 g? They certainly are a top rod.
