Hi all, been tossing up with putting a rod holder setup in the tinnie and after snapping the tip on a brand Pflueger Trion on the weekend its time to do it.
So the tinnie is a car topper so I would prefer if it is permanently attached inside the boat so it does not interfere with the loader when putting it on the roof.
I was thinking of getting a 4 piece plastic holder and mounting one to each side of the tinnie in between the two seats so either side you could store your rod as required and avoid it getting trodden on.
Now to do this I need to drill into the boat one bboth sides and this has me worried about leaks etc. What is the best method to fix the rod holder to the side of the boat and not end up with a leak? Just nut,bolt, washer and silicone or is there another method?
