Just had my first trip in the boat with the trim tabs fitted. The wife and I did a trip to Wathumba Creek (overnight) and back. We travelled approximately 90 nm with wind 10-15k plus. My boat is a 5.6 m half cabin so lots of windage. The tabs are fantastic, one or two presses on the control panel and the boat levels. Sure beats travelling on a lean or shifting the crew to level the boat. One small issue need to be resolved i.e. there is a small leak to be fixed. Anyway a great trip and so many whales sighted. Cheers Winston.

Sounds like a great trip, tabs or not but yeah the tabs make life easier and more comfortable. I have also adopted my first set of QLs on the Fisher I just bought recently. After only ever having used traditional style tabs I had my doubts, but they seem to do the job OK.
I would still feel more at ease with the conventional ones I think because I think additional planing surface should be better but I will see how they go over more hours at sea.
