While taking the kids for a drive i notice whyte island boat ramp is going to get a pontoon soon. The area is fenced and signed.

Whyte island has gotta be one of the best ramps and safest for me so far.

But a pontoon in the middle is a much better alternative then the side ones. :'(. Anyway it's better then none, i suppose. Hopefully none of the landbase fishermans wil fill it with fishing lines while your comming in. I can see that as a problem.

Good news, Hope that means less people at the pinkenbah ramp LoL
It has been a long time coming... I don't know why it hasn't happened sooner.

Yep looks like it.Will add it to the list of things to keep clean.I am sure it will attract alot of unwanted attention. But should keep the majority happy.I'LL find out if it'll be dredged on that side as the Ken Harvey is at the Ops base.Jim

No it will not be dredged,it will have 2 piles driven and will be 24m out from the headstock on the bank. All in poly, similar to Colmslie.Jim

That's good news, I'm sure all the boaties there will appreciate it. Now if we could only get down at Raby Bay, it would sure speed things up on those busy days.
