have the above mentioned outboards on the cat and on the weekend i had the no oil come up on 1 of the gauges then it come up on the other as i was just entering the marina.when i checked on the dipstick it was only down about 3-4mm from the full mark..i didn't get the manuals with them so any1 have a manual to tell me what type of oil they take or does any1 know off hand

They take a lot of oils same as your car. I use castrol GTX in my DF 70.

My Suzuki mechanic uses Mobil Super 1000 15 W40, this is the one he says is approved by Suzuki, so I am advised.
Suzuki also have their own brand synthetic oil, made for them by Motul. 10W40 I believe, but pretty xy.

Are you sure its not just the oil light flashing which means service time

Most likely be the oil change reminder light. Caught me out that one too.

Motul oil for suzi's ..... not a bad oil for bike as well.

It would have been a oil change reminder lights, just use a good 15w40 oil the same as you would in any modern multi-valve car engine. I always used Castrol Magnatec now Iv,e changed to Repco Modern engines semi synthetic.

my gauges doesn't have a oil lite on it.you blokes could be right.think it would be due for a service soon.will top it up and if its still comes up i will book it in for a service .thanks for the info on the oil fellas
