was out having a play in the boat. just cleaning bits and doing a tidy up. i have a 1978 or 79, 70hp evinrude 3cy 2 stroke. i, for some reason decided to open the control box to have a look and give it a spray to try and free it up a bit.
I found a lil gray wire with no place to call home.. all so found an agry looking spider in it. after near needing to change undies i found he was in fact dead.
so what would this wire be? i have a pdf file for the boat but thats on the other pc waiting to be rescued so i cant even power it up>:(
the wire it self is folded at the end with a gray tape or band around it and looks to be the sort of thing a factory would do if something was there but not used. every thing that is on the control and helm works so i know its not broken off anything.
tilt/trim, key, choke and gear/ neauteral switch all work.
any ideas??
