nudgee beach obstruction

Just a heads up,i went to nudgee beach ramp where people were returning,i noticed a family checking the underside of there 6mtr glass boat,i went over to see what happened and they hit something underwter near last red marker inside,it took a large piece out of the skeg and ripped up under the hull like a chain saw,this was on the high tide,i know on the low tide there is a metal star picket on the bank, so be carefull i myself use this ramp ,but maybe no more. cheers

Thanks for the heads up mate, a bit strange that they hit something at high tide, I've been using that ramp for years and even on low tide have never come across anything stuck in the mud, usually plenty of floating debri after a bit of rain but.

I saw the obstruction today it is a large metal pipe that is bent over and sticking out of the water on the sand bar between the 2nd last red and the green markers. They have put up a red buoy to mark it now.
