Very quiet. President Brent got a blue for his dad Barry on their 20' Seahunt centre console "Walk the Line". A few other blues seen, a few missed bites livebaiting for the light tackle boys with baits coming back crushed and other than that 2nd and 3rd were decided by line class gamefish. Bait looked to be turning up Saturday afternoon after the storm. Might all happen the next week or so but the tournament just missed it.

Hi Rob,

Shame about the results. How bad was the storm that blew through?

Only a few boats gutzed it out in the storm. Most came in for a cuppa or a beer then went out after. We had 40knots gusting to 60 but we were only 100m off the beach so it didn't worry us too much. The constant heavy drizzle for an hour or so after was more a pain. We had fingernail size bits of hail and a bit of lightning but we weren't too worried under the hard top.

Here are the points thanks to Tony Cross the tournament director.

Champion Team Overall – Walk the Line – 1500 points
Champion Angler – Barry Higgins – 1500 points
Champion Angler Runner Up – Cameron George – 397.5 points
Champion Male Angler Light Tackle – Cameron George – 397.5 points
Champion Male Angler Heavy Tackle – Barry Higgins – 1500 points
Champion Junior Angler – Ryan McKinnon - 122.5 points
Champion Angler Other Species – Cameron George - 397.5 points
Champion Boat Over 7m – Spot On – 563.12 points
Runner Up Boat Over 7m – Capricorn – 112.5 points
Champion Boat 7m and Under – Walk the Line – 1500 points
Meritorious Effort Award – Clare on Addixion – Busted off winning female category fish after long fight.
Bullfish Trophy – Yahoo 2 – dropped boat off back of car on highway.
First Billfish – Barry Higgins.

hey smithy
Ryan and i had a great time on-board your legendary boat (CAPRICORN) it was great to fish with you and i would recommend your services to anyone, i think the best part was the comfy bean bag and beers?? Lol we will be going again when we get a hot bite of the heavy tackle fish and maybe get a crack at a blue marlin.
cheers jimmy
