Hi Chaps,
I am selling my Tournament 2100 Walkaround due to buying a bigger boat last week.
My Tournament is highly optioned out putting the price up a bit and among other things fitted with a Garmin 5012 GPSMap and GSD22 Sounder module etc which cost me about $5000 plus installation and I guess puts the price up a bit on my Tournaments sale price or at least what I think it is worth.
My Fisher 660 has a basic 750GPS so the question is would I be best to pull the 5012 and GSD22 out of the Tounament and knock $5000.00 off the asking price. I would prefer to fit this gear then to the Fisher.
I figured a buyer of my boat may prefer the reduced asking price and then they can fit their own preference of electronics.

What are your thoughts on doing this please?

i personaly would keep the 5012 cause you wont get the extra for it being in the boat imo at the moment and put the 750 in the Tournament you will be better off in your pocket

I agree with propdinger leave the price the same and when you have a buyer you can always drop the price for a sale and still have what you want

Maybe someone from this site won't buy it ;). One problem is that the world now knows what the original wanted price was with the higher spec, they'll see through the down speccing :-X. The price will need to reflect that which was the OP intent.

Why not give the potential purchaser the option and have pricing to match?

mate they are doing specials right now on those, you will get sounder as well plus the 7012 for less than that new, so reckon whack it on the next boat, the 5012 is now selling for $3400 new, would a switched on buyer cop a 5k difference?
