hi guys iam after an opinion on my fuel line set up,had a service done on my motor and my mechanic moved the fuel fillter elemant set up so it now sits above floor level(sits under side decks now)anyway from the element to the primer bulb they have used those black zip ties also zip ties on both sides of the primer bulb i was thinking hose clamps would been the go anything to worry about cheers moejoe.

Hi Moejoe, I prefer small fully stainless (including the worm/screwhead) hose clamps. Get the good quality ones that are more flexible and less chunky than the cheapos. I could manage to get a leak from a joint fastened with a zip tie especially when the hose is cold. This was on my filter barb.

I hope he changed the hoses aswell! after a few years the fuel hose gets really hard and once it comes off has streched to much for a piddly Zip Tie to make an airtight conection.
