Well the day finally put on the weather it was supposed to.
Headed out across a pancake flat bay into a fiery red sunrise.
Like the sea the fishing was pretty flat with just one fish between us in the first few hours.
Headed out wider at lunchtime and the change of tide seemed to get the snapper going.
Tim taught me a few lessons about light placcie gear in deep water and he accounted for all but one of the fish in the box.
Check out the calm sea. I wonder where everyone else was.
Highlight was watching Tim go back and forward onto his mono backing as he coerced 80 odd cm of snapper from its deep deep home.
Saw some tails on the way home but not nearly quick enough.
Cheers
