Can someone please tell about 5.5 metre Markham Whaler, Is it a good offshore boat?

Yep, I owned one from new with 115 Yams. Aside from the poor ride/performance there was also the cracked transom where they extended it to suit 25" inch legs almost as a factory after thought.

Terrifying in a beam sea, bum heavy, porpoising, very, very average build quality, .......Run from it as fast as you can.

The 4.9 was a much nicer riding boat (had one of them before and wish I hadn't "upgraded"at the time).
