The weather has been ok but the fishing has still been really patchy in the grounds accessed by most simple offshore fishos. I have caught a Green Jobfish while floatlining for Snapper & Hussar on Deep Tempest. Obviously the currents are mixing plenty of unseasionally warm water into our fishing grounds just to confuse us that little bit more.

Trag have continued to be the safety net with a big bite on dusk. Mixed bags with quality fish are the order of the day, but quantity is down & you have to be working hard to produce the goods. I am waiting for the Snapper to really turn it on south of the Cape. Finally there are whispers of good catches coming from the Rock so hopefully they will improve especially for the daylight fisho.

Check out the "disco fish" Sunrise Perch from East of the Cape. Gorgeous fish & great chewing. A little 5 kg Samson fish, while not rare, is also not a common capture at this time of the year.

Cheers,

Keith

Keith,

Good to see you are still getting your customers onto a good mixed feed of fish.

Cheers
Brett.
