Hi Guys,

Just wondering where people anchor up at night when fishing Double Island Point. Having 4wd'd along the beach there, I was wondering if the bay inside the headland is where most moor up for the night if not fishing the reefs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Matt

Just spent an overnighter off di- we anchored just short of the shelf about 70km from the bar, but if it blew up we would have considered coming back into the bay to anchor so as to not cross the bar at night. Have seen lots of boats at anchor in the bay at night.

Usually on one of the coffee rock patches in the bay so we can get live bait at night, have a bit of a fish and your anchor has something to grab. There are two main bits, one straight in front of the blow at Mudlo Rocks. They are also best in winter SWers as well being in the lee of the biggest sand dunes.
