Minn Kota Riptide gone MAD

The riptide just turns right, i.e. spins.

If the power is connected it spins clockwise as if the foot control pedal is locked right or the Auto pilot has gone mad. So I can't even have the power connected :(.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like your compass card has shat itself.
Common symptoms is the motor turns like that or starts hunting erratically side to side.
They are far cheaper from the US but if you go that way make sure you get a Southern Hemisphere compass card.
Maybe borrow a card from a mate to test first.

Compass Card, where does that go?:-?

The compass card/module is in the head of the motor,under the auto pilot button.
Undo the screws and lift off the top cover and you will see the compass and attached card.
Its a 2 min job to change them over.

I give up. It goes to BLA tomorrow, $24 pick up, easy and should be a three day turnaround.
