Does anyone know what vintage this Mariner 40HP 3cylinder is?

Bloke I'm buying it off I thought said 1993 but this motor doesn't seem
that old. I should have had a look at the motor label but didn't :-(

Judging by the decal on the cowl I'd say the age is about right.

The serial number plate is riveted to the transom bracket. It may have the actual manufactured year printed on it or the serial number can be used to get the actual year.

It probably starts with 0D

Im not sure of the year. But im pretty sure that model weighs 93kg and can be a 40 , 50 , or 60 depending on jetting. I have 1 on 1 of our work punts and its been cooked a couple times and abused all its life and it just keeps running.

I've got a 2001 mdl which is a Tohatsu. The earlier were yamaha I think. Mine was cooked but still runs fine. Yours looks newer but is probably older but well looked after, from the outside anyway.
