Anyone know a good solution for freeing these up?

Silicone Spray.

I get mine from Uni-line, but not sure which retailer sells it.

LP.

ps... have a look around this site.

Boiling water then silicon spray. Have (mate hold ;D) a towel under so the boiling water doesn't go everywhere.

Thanks, boiling water should do it and then a follow up with silicon spray. Wonder who gets to hold the towel.....

Get a degreasing air gun and fill it with boiling water and spray into the zippper. Will free it up in no time, then hit it with press stud lube along the teeth.Jim

Even candle wax will work well, Inox or Lanox will free it initially.

Soak it with innox or wd40 first, a couple of times if need be. Then very gently work the zip until free.
Then regularly give it another soak with innox or wd40 every couple of trips to keep it good.

Its apparently best to do all of the above before you go for a plastics session, like I did on the weekend, and have to use a filleting knife to retrieve your jigheads....

Havent tried it but it seems to me that saltex(the stuff you wash your trailer with)should work followed by silicone or lanolin spray.

There was quite a long thread on this topic within the last 12 months but I couldn't locate it. I use boiling water and it has had some failures but I recall in this thread there was a particular spray/liquid that could be bought from pool shops that was supposed to do the trick. Any one remember or can find the thread.
